acrylic on panel, 108x30

  • Artist Statement

Winkler’s mountain landscape for St. Francis Interquest reminds the viewer of Pikes Peak and all the surrounding mountains. The layering of her piece brings out the different layers of the mountain that has been the main geological point of interest in Colorado Springs. It is a stunning depiction of Sister Earth Our Mother’s section of St. Francis’ hymn.
