Artist Statement
Anderson’s drawings for the St. Francis Interquest chapel depict 7 healing stories from the four gospels. These images show Jesus healing a woman with an issue of blood (Matthew 9:20-22), the curing every disease is all the cities and villages (Matthew 9:35), the healing of the paralytic (Mark 2:9-12), the healing of 10 lepers (Luke 17:12-16), the healing of the blind man at Siloam Pool (John 9:6-7), the healing the man at the pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-15), and the Healing of Peter’s Mother in Law (Luke 4:38-40).

Artist Bio
Darrell Anderson aims to unite the world through art. His work is informed by years spent traveling, first while serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, then during his 12-year stint as Frontier Airlines’ first male flight attendant. Anderson has completed projects and taught workshops all over the world, from his hometown of Denver, to France, China, and more. Through his work, he continually seeks opportunities to capture that moment that makes someone stop to think, to appreciate, to reminisce, to enjoy, to relate, to respect, and to reach for meaning, purpose and peace.
